Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I'd call it 5-10 mL once a week to every other week as needed. I only use it when I start seeing red in the sandbed.
How do you even calculate how much waters displaced with rock lol

I put a bottle or 2 of pods from algae barn in a long time ago and they have absolutely taken hold but I probably need more variety.. lemme see if I can find the bottle again so I can figure out which kinds I got
I think I dumped in a half gallon in my 112 three times of the snackel pack. It was every couple months. They have sales buy one get one sometimes. I would guess valentines might be one. I see tons of pods when I don’t clean the glass for a while.

The first inch above my glass is littered. But all really tiny things. Nothing big at all. And seems to be all the same kind?

I usually do 80% but with my 135, I added 100 gallons, then added rock, then sand...
So you did that thinking ahead stuff... seems like a hassle :grinning-face-with-sweat:

I filled my tank with water and mixed the salt directly in so I knew how much water there was then siphoned out a lot and placed into totes, put my rock in, then poured the saltwater back in. Then subtracted the difference.

Nah, just did the weirdo that counts things while he's working stuff and remember things like that.

Stomatella will totally out produce Trochus but they're easier prey for wrasses and other predator fish.
They have pretty, iridescent shells as they get large. Super cool dudes.

Not from the Bad Boys tank I assume...?
Yes, but this was 2 years ago. If he's still in there, he's hiding well in the rockwork. I haven't gone down to spy at night lately.

Ok I don’t normally look in my tank when the lights are really low like they are now and I kind of wish I hadn't. I have way too many bristle worms for my comfort level and some are pretty big. What can I put in there that will eat them but that isn't a jerk? I know they are great for clean up but they kind of freak me out when there's a many as I seen...

Yea.... I did not lay that much attention... probably should have for future dosing situations but I didn't know that would come in handy later on lol

Tri Tip is getting close. Another 20-30 degrees internal temperature.
