Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
No grand parents as I am living abroad, my kid non stop with us :face-with-spiral-eyes:. I think so it should work fine. He is staying on the rock on the right or the frag rack.
That red is unstoppable! Gorgeous tank.

Better late than never, my wife's version of Swamp Soup

1 package (1 lb) original Conecuh sausage sliced
1 onion chopped
1 turnup diced
1 can black eyed peas undrained
2 cans collard greens undrained
1 can turnup greens undrained
1 can diced tomatoes drained
1/2 to 1 qt chicken chicken broth
about 1/2 teaspoon of creole seasoning
she sprinkles salt, so add to your taste, same with pepper

soup in picture had 2 cloves of garlic added when cooking onion, first time she added it.
could not taste the garlic.

cook sausage in pot with onion until onion starts going clear
add other ingredients, add broth until you get the consistency you want
simmer for about an hour

good with corn bread

this is a very good stone soup to build on, we have tried other bean types but settled on black eyes.

Oh man, I’m going to have to try that! :smiling-face-with-tear:

Spray it off, put in buckets/brute/whatever with powerhead for awhile.
Take pieces out, spray off-whatever.
Take in shower with you whatever just don't bleach it.
My opinion and probably my opinion only but I'm really anti bleaching rock.
We used to just leave it in the sun for a few weeks and power wash.
If you are really paranoid about it throw in a gallon of vinegar.
citric acid or even bake in oven. I used to bake my plant dirt in the oven to sterilize it from gnats. works great. but now that I have a brand new oven, I don't. do that.

so pass through and not cave. I'll have to experiment on some carribsea rock I have and see if I can get a masonry bit and go straight through. I have been able to drill 1/2" holes for frags.
The problem with a closed cave is that it can store a lot of detritus inside.

Good morning Smorgs!!
Check out this check I got in the mail yesterday!!
Wooohoo! Looks like I’m going to get some more corals. I never thought I’d actually get some money for this. Especially since the Army already pays me for hearing loss and brain damage.
What a nice surprise! Who actually wore hearing protection in combat though?
Maybe a random lieutenant while he spent days trying to read a map with gps coordinates?…lol if you know you know. For some reason lieutenants always had problems reading maps.
God forbid if they have to give fire grid coordinates. We had one that read the incoming rounds from radar and placed them instead of the radar coordinates of where the incoming was coming from. We fired on ourselves. Luckily no one was hurt from it that night. Crazy thing is that lieutenant never was even reprimanded we must have had too much other stuff going on at the time I guess.
Anyway hope everyone has a great day I know that I am!!!
Woooohoooo!
