That's the one I have.

I have it set at 100% blue and 1% white - I prefer the super blue spectrum.

Would it be better to do three of the 16 inch or two of the 28 inch?

More watts = more better in my opinion. They're both 165 watts. If you want to use those and the T5, do the two longer ones and the T5. Be prepared to add another in the middle of you decide to go with SPS in the future - they like light.

It would bug my slight OCDness and drive me crazier than I already am to have different lights on the top of the tank so I would just go with the 3 shorter ones vs the two long ones plus the T5 if that's the best lighting option for my budget.

Phlizon is decent especially for the price point. I like Noopsyche as another inexpensive (but more than Phlizon) option for LEDs.

Nicrew is another budget option but my Nicrew seems to like to grow algae if I use any white so I suspect the spectrum is slightly less than desirable.

Today I changed 18 gallons.
Replacement water was 15 +3 fresh water.
My salinity was a tad high so I wanted to bring it down a little bit.
I don't really check it that often but probably should check it once a week or so.

I strongly suggest using a refractometer but this is all I've ever used.
I've had this longer than my kids and I've been basted a couple times on here for using it but it works for me. ;)

This also made me happy.

I am running the scrubber about 20 hours a day and turned my skimmer up from 3 to 4. That coupled with the water changes means the scrubber is finally keeping up with the load.
Water changes means I can slowly lower nitrates where I want them now since they seem to have stabilized. Helps when you use the equipment the right way.
But I'm stubborn and brains aren't my strong suit.
Everything I do I do super slow.
Learned that lesson forever ago.
I like to run experiments little by little.
I want to know why it all works the way it does. Helps my brain not go so crazy and hopefully it will help someone else too.
Still waiting on my cheato.

Overall I'm happy with it now.
Took a lot of getting used to but the features are super cool and it works flawlessly so far.
I like having something I can recommend to others. :)

They work, just make sure there's no micro bubbles on the floaty pointy thing

I'd bring that down, but not much. I usually run mine between 1.025 and 1.027. I shoot for closer to the 1.025-1.026. you're sitting at 1.0265 there?

Making sure I rinse the thing always before and after in fresh water helps.
