Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I love coffee... how's everyone like theirs? I do milk and a bit of sugar.
Little bit of milk.
Just like regular black coffee with milk, nothing funky.
Just me.

I am running carbon in the 300. Through a old di resin cartridge with 1/4 inch line to it on average does 3 gallons a minute so it turns the 300 over in 10 hours....I have a cup in it.
What brand if I may ask?

In a cup usually. Often a mug, occasionally a foam cup, sometimes plastic or glass...

A lot of people from Ohio move to Arizona!
Yah, but they all come to the west side for Spring Training. He's an hour drive from them.

@tbrown are you running carbon in your tanks?
Yes for GAC.
No for vinegar/sugar/vodka dosing.

I rarely run carbon (activated) but am currently. I was having issues with my Acros and wasn't sure if it was the Nems putting off toxins.

I was dosing vinegar to bring my nitrates down but stopped about the same time I started running GAC.

Not sure if it was the vinegar or the anemones killing the Acros but everything seems to be recovering now.

I'm using Seachem.

Water level for sump is calling for 4-5 inches,
Recommended water level for sump is 8-9.

Will this be okay?
I'm not following. The return section has a "Water Level" mark at 4-5"? You can run higher than that, that's just the minimum recommended running level. If you're running an ATO then that level works. If you're not running an ATO, make sure you're on top of top offs or you'll start sending bubbles through the return. I fill mine through the tank with the pump off until I'm sitting at a level I'm comfortable with. That's my "power outage" level. Then I turn my pump on and that's my running level. I can always make it lower running by siphoning out a couple of gallons but I don't want to go above that level in case of pump failure or power outage.

Thank you and yes just wondering on GAC.
Would like not to run it but find softies and nem much happier running it as opposed not to.
I didn't run it for years just started a couple months ago.
Good note on seachem.
Are you running it in a reactor?

Are you running it in a reactor?
Nope. I added about a tablespoon and am running it in a filter bag in place of my filter floss.
