Grab the rock and pull it closer to the edge of the tank so it's still in the water. You'll be able to see it better. Do you have a hammer and chisel? You can break the shrooms off there.

It's a small rock and one of the mushroom is in a crevice of the rock but I might could try that.

Would you put the lights inside the canister? Do you have a link for that? Looks interesting and I'd like to check it out.

"Ideal" is very subjective in this hobby lol, too many tanks with too many different parameters but as I asked Walker, it was out of curiosity of a 10:1 ratio on someone who maintains 0.02 Po4, because math gave me 0 No3

Never know unless you try! You can do it. It won't take much to break reef rock, it's really porous. Try to just chip off the "pest", if the whole thing splits in two... oh well! You can still chip off the "pest" part and keep the rest of it if it does break in half.
