Love scolys too. I think we're getting better at captive breeding them, so prices may go down. But because of how slow growing they are and how high of a demand they have, the prices may not change much.

I really hope so! I'd love to have a couple. My current problem: i have all kinds of LPS and I'd like to try and acro but everyone says mixed tanks are the hardest :thinking-face:

Well I will admit, it was probably a missed business opportunity :face-with-tears-of-joy: that said, i don't dabble with the stuff at all so I'll let someone else stumble upon it someday lol

This is a captive bred scoly from TSA, I don't know if it's been sold. This scoly survived a 72-hour trip through customs, completely unfazed. This is crazy, but in order to get scolys to breed, you need specimens that have been in captivity for years, so this is why the offspring are incredibly hardy. The offspring starts as a single cell and grows to an eraser size on a pencil in 8 months, which is pretty slow, but hey, it's progress!

You could start with easy sps, birdnest and montis and see how it goes. I’ve never said this before but I would give you free frags, pick up only. Don’t tell anyone, I don’t want the vultures circling.

that was done with my first child taking naps. my second one I was able to do this.

I have 2 birds nest, a Monti digitata, 2 encrusting montis, one monti cap and a stylo as well as all my LPS and so far knock on wood..

Sure! It's a 20g and my main focus is inverts — I started off with a thin stripe hermit we picked up on the beach, and here we are after a year plus!
