I feel the same about my husband lol
Really impossible for me to do this without her. Very supportive of my time and money lol so I make sure she knows that.
She only gets marginally involved, knowing I'm a nut case when it comes to my tank but it means a lot.
I can't do this without y'all as well.
Learned so much from y'all not just fish related.
Very grateful to everyone for the support we all give each other.
So to that it was only right to change the name of the thread.
Once again thank y'all ! :)

Did you have a question about installing it?

it seems it doesn’t reach the sock until after the skimmer, and refugium section. Is that normal?
Ohhh... You have one of THOSE ESHOPPS sumps. So, a portion goes under the socks to the skimmer section, a portion goes over to the socks, and everything goes to the return section. Some have a basket for media right before the return section.
 
Newbie Question: every time I clean my glass with the piranha float tool - felt-side, i feel like I’m scraping up a bunch of copepods. It’s not that I see evidence of this, I just wonder - some must be on glass during daytime, right?

Or are most in rockscape, sand, etc. and come out on glass at night?

Just a concerned Mom, not trying to kill the good guys. Hehe.

Sorry, I was setting up a new Betta tank. I bought the tank over the weekend (while Glamping in the Conestoga Wagon) and intended to put one of my female Bettas in there. Went to Petco and "accidentally" bought a Mustard Gas male Betta...

Most pods are nocturnal I believe. Even if you scrape them off, they'll get eaten up by Mel.

When I see them IF I see them usually at night only or if I over feed sometimes.

You’ll cut your tubing on the supply line and install one of the tees; the TDS In probe will go in that one. Make sure that the two prongs of the TDS probe are perpendicular to the supply line so the water flows between them to get the reading.

You’ll do the same process on the output side with the TDS Out probe.

The pressure gauge will need another tee on the supply line side; I’ve got mine between the water supply hookup and the TDS In probe but it shouldn’t matter if it’s opposite. You’ll need a short section of RODI tubing to connect the tee to the pressure gauge. Make sure to check it closely as I get small leaks from the pressure gauge connection; the TDS probes have been fine for me.

Here’s a few pictures from when I installed mine.

Sounds about right where you want everything then. Bring the nitrates up some and if your phosphates are low, bring them up some as well.
I will work on that. I think the GHA is consuming a lot of it.
