Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
If you are addressing me, it was a good 2-3 weeks before I started noticing improvement and a good 1 1/2-2 months before it didn’t see any aptasia at all. The caption at Reeftown says it is the 2nd and 3rd generations that get the job done. I know the odds are small, I don’t know how many you got but there’s the possibility they were all the same gender even if a couple identified as another gender. 😉
Thanks Kev yes I was addressing you was having issues quoting your post with this new app.

I got 10.

Ya, I’m sticking to the original for now it’s easier for me.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day!
Got caught up in cleaning the garage.
Now that my daughter has moved out, I've decided to let go of 12 years of stored up crapola.
Feels good.
Very liberating.
There you go buddy. It's a paradigm shift, I know. I'm glad to hear the positivity coming from today's venture.

Kev doesn't matter what color lights you run you've got one of the best looking tanks I've ever seen.
Period.
Run whatever color you want my friend.
That's a fact. This tank is a large part of why I have euphyllia in my tank. They were on my "avoid" list when I started a year ago. Between Kevin's tank and his guidance, I couldn't imagine my tank without them.

John, I found this really great recipe you and your wife might like but you have probably never heard of it. After looking at the recipe and picture I would think short rib would be a contender as a substitute for veal shanks but listen to Joel he’s the pro.

That recipe looks exactly like what im after. Short ribs are one of my favorite cuts of meat! I agree 100% with both cuts, because they have bone. That's a huge part of the recipe. It's in the name lol

I think I’m going to try it also. Not sure when, I’ve got something going on Friday so maybe Tuesday when my wife is at work and I’m allowed in her kitchen.

One thing I do know is I'm not about to leave you guys!
As far as the tank goes, I really don't know.
I've thought about starting all over again with a bigger glass tank but I don't know if I have the energy for it.
I'm finally happy with my lights and everything else.
If the aiptasia would just die out I'd keep going.
I'm just super bummed the berghia did nothing.
I've learned a few things through this experience and I can help others along the way.
File fish?

I got 10.
Joel,

It's not possible to get all one sex. Every Berghia is AC/DC or self-identifies as both/either. I also think you got good healthy nudis from Reeftown because they crawled off on their own and 10 should have been enough. I'm wondering if it is the conjunction of bare-bottom tank, strong flow and big hungry fish. They got eaten before they got kids or the kids got eaten as well before they were kids.
