Isn't haldol one of the meds used to treat tourrettes?
It is sir, yes. Haldol helps rebalance dopamine to improve thinking, mood and behavior.

Camp counseling for my school. But the kids do not have any respect for anybody.
That's the truth man. Just keep doing what you do. Lead by example and don't let the kids or anyone else get you out of your character brother

Morning all! Sorry, long night and my phone died. Didn't make it into work till like 10:30 ,this morning. Was there fairly late, they wanted to monitor his temperature. I geuss it wasn't the actual temp as much as how quickly it climbed to 104.7 that bothered them? They wanted to make sure the tylenol/ibuprofen regime would keep things down. We got him onto a every 4hr regimen and it maintained his temp at a low grade fever (99-100) for most the night. This morning he hasn't had anything since 5am and his fever hasnt returned! I geuss the low/no fever all day to 104.7 almost instantly concerned them most. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys!

Any idea what caused it?

They said his lungs sounded good, ears looked good, most likely not bacterial. We were thinking maybe hand, mouth and foot as someone at his daycare had it a week or so ago, but no blisters or signs of that. Some virus presumably.

Well I'm glad he's doing better today.

We might have been overly concerned as is.. only been parents a year and a half sl far so a sobbing miserable baby with a 104.7° fever got us worked up pretty quick. We gave him a dose of Tylenol and by the time we got to the ER his fever was starting to drop and by the time we came up with a plan the tylenol was doing a decent job. He was already sleeping with mom and his next dose of ibuprofen wasn't far away so they had us stay to monitor until that dose, and since his fever stayed down, we were good to go.

We are as well! He gets to spend the day with momma now, currently chasing ants in the driveway. They keep trying to leave their hill so he brings them back 😂 he slept in till 10:30 though, which is super uncommon because he's usually up between 6:30-7am sharp

thats good news. I think you can do it every 2 hours but check to make sure. I think children's Tylenol for 4 hours and children's ibuprofen for 4 hours and offset them by 2 hours but not sure what age that starts anymore. after a while of going through things like this your brain gets confused and you age quickly. never had the foot in mouth at this end. only saw that on From Dusk Till Dawn with Selma Hayek and Quentin! Glad he's doing better. I always hate the ER, they make you stay no matter what for a long time. I try as much as possible to do Immediate Walk In. Not sure about up near you but Brunswick is a nice Hospital and not long for ER. I went to Portland once and it was a really long wait, I called Brunswick and they said no one was there so just drove the 40 minutes.

Luckily we got into a room pretty quick! Which was nice because he hates the waiting room!
