What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Thank you! Luckily I don't eat a lot of sweets my weakness is more salty treats but I do add sugar to my coffee. I'm trying to find a sugar substitute that I like but haven't found one that tastes as good as real sugar.
Raw sugars a good start. Thats what I use. Not as good as say, monk fruit extract, but not as gross either lol

The real gotcha is the hidden sugars in most foods. I check labels for short ingredient lists that are things I recognize like pork, or beef, or sugar, or etc. I think I looked at 30 or 40 BBQ sauces before I found one that was okay. Salad Dressings are even worse. If I add sugar to something I use sugar, I don't trust the the substitutes don't have their own issues. Cutting out non-whole grain breads, except sourdough, pasta, and rice probably did more good than everything else combined plus I lost about 40 pounds without any nonsense like calorie counting.

I used a calorie counting app that let me scan items just so at the end of the day I could say "just my snacks that I scanned added up to 1800 calories... jeesh"

I think i read somewhere that diet sodas and the substitutes actually do spike you insulin but it was in a weird way that they never thought to look at until recently. (Or something like that)

You all are going to hate me even more but I can’t put weight on for the life of me. For almost two years I’ve been trying to gain 20 pounds and it just doesn’t happen. For a month or two I tried eating fast food at least three times a week and nada.

That's a good problem to have as long as your weight is healthy.

Until I was about 27 or 28 I didn't gain weight no matter what I ate and I ate a lot. In college I had a routine worked out with a couple of friends; we would go over to a local sub (or hoagie or grinder, etc. depending on where you live) shop and I would look at the foot long subs and if there was a 'mark' there I'd say something like 'boy those look good do you make any bigger ones?' then one of my compadres would say 'why don't you just buy two?' I'd say that I would but I can't afford two. If we did it right the mark would say something that we could reel in and get them to bet that if I could eat two they'd pay for them both. Boom, a nice big free lunch.

That changed.

Shopping at Wallyworld today I saw a pair of boots. why is the zipper like this?

Let the water out of your boots?
Change your socks without removing the boot?

So you can itch your ankles?

I think my problem is I have a natural Atkins diet. Very little sugar and carbs and high protein and fat. I know this is blasphemy but if I never ate another pizza again it wouldn’t bother me. Bread - filling ratio is important to me. 1/3 bread 2/3 filling. Maybe I should start using the new rhododendrons I planted.

My BMI is 20 and when I complained about my weight I was told I was good.

I still have pizza once in a while but it is a made at home pizza with cauliflower crust, no sugar pizza sauce, vegies, mozzarella, and good Italian sausage.

I was trying to think of something funny... closest i got was some joke about how you stick your leg out from under the blanket at night but it didnt really work well... soooo.... I assume to loosen it around your ankle. I had a pair of rubber boots i had to have my wife grab onto for all she's worth so I could push her butt with my other foot because it was so tight on the top of my foot/ankle.

You may have hit on the real use, to let the bridge area relax a little to make it easier to put on the boot.

Thats what its called! When I got my new boots I just pointed and said "this area too tight, waaaa" and luckily, they knew what I was talking about
