Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Anybody seen this before, took this pic a few minuets ago, this is were I am at. Don't know if the dip yesterday will help. Flesh looks just fine right next to the skeleton. I know its not the best pic. but will turn the rock tonight and get another pic tomorrow.

They'll shrink into the skeleton sometimes.

bone white, the red acan is nothing but a white skeleton. no flesh on the skeleton. If its a dead coral walking, it is what it is, I am worried about the rest of my tank. I looked it over with a magnifying glass, have been whatching it all day, no sign of parasites. maybe the dips will help.

Howdy Rock, that had to be awesome. Did you ask him if he remembered me?
Uhmm...no sir. At the end I was drunker than six Indians.

Oh so I need math help. I am mixing about 30 gallons and right now the salinity is at 1.023 my tank is at 1.025. Is that close enough to not cause issues when I do a water change tomorrow or should I add more salt. And if I should add more how much should I add?

should brought some corals with you with all the light! and a PAR meter!
No kidding. I could have used my Orphek lenses for sure!

this looks like I'm shopping on a coral website. beautiful picks! just include prices now!
Thank you my friend! I was very happy with my order from corals.com

It's close enough but I'd add a tablespoon anyway. I'd almost shoot for 1.026 in my change out water

Wait, 30 gallons might be closer to 3 tablespoons.

I use the one cup of salt per 2 gallon rule which is pretty accurate but sometimes I’m off. I usually mix 4 gallons at a time so if it’s a little low I add 1/4 cup and let it mix for an hour test and if necessary repeat.

I think you get more than what they show and the free ship over $200 is a game changer! you get the most bang for the buck there I believe.

a 1/4 cup should raise 30 gallon by .017, i may be wrong but I think I am right
