3 pounds of thin sliced steaks, a large onion sliced, onion powder, garlic powder, and meat tenderizer sprinkled on it until my ancestors say its enough. Cooked together until meat is almost done then 3 cans of fire roasted garlic tomatoes for about 15 minutes more. Goes great with refried beans and rice.

Sad news. jawfish is coming to his end. I’ve had him for about 2.5 years and I heard they only live a few. He was ~3” when I got him and he is 5” now. So must be pretty old. Not sure if I should wait or euthanize. He’s still swimming but struggling. Keeps rolling around.
Finish him or let him be?

Paul, I really hate to hear this my friend.
I think id have to let him go out on his own terms

I learned to make it from my ex he was Mexican and most the time we used Roma Tomatoes instead of the fire roasted but it tastes the same either way.
Ahh so definitely not SWISS steak like I thought lol

So on this week’s podcast of stir frying with Kev, I prepared Kung pao chicken and hot and sour soup. It’s a recipe that my wife’s grandmother brought with her when she immigrated from the Hunan province of China to the United States.

It’s really easy to make and clean up is a breeze!

Good morning my friends! Sorry I got caught up on the water change/no water change thread. Very entertaining.

You mean how often to change water while washing that super cool car?

your rocks are so clean. I see no algae.
Tailspot blenny, tomini tang and a foxface ( before he eats corals ) are my go to to controls algae, simply the best at the job

Most of the places I have heard of that use NSW get it off shore. The thinking, I believe, is that they are gathering it from beyond the run off areas. What I like about the idea is that you don't just get NSW elements but also phytoplankton, copepods, zooplankton, sort of an analogy to live rock versus dry rock.
Paul B uses NSW but he has had trouble with algae growth when he gets it from certain areas.
