Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
With Aragocrete it's easier to tell because the pH changes more drastically. Baking Soda just has a small affect on the pH so you have to actually watch alkalinity.

I'd say get a bucket of water, soak for a day or two, then change the water and see if alkalinity rises after another day or two.

@TheNative192 Where's the link to the new tank thread?

Its in my signature! :D I did end up finishing the third structure (kind of) I am running out of super glue and I am tired so I will post a picture tomorrow. The rocks on it are supported by unattached rocks while it dries so it just looks like a rock blob at the moment. I will likely give it a day to dry then soak it for a couple of days, draining and soaking multiple times throughout the day etc checking PH and alk. Once I got the rock ready I will add it to the tank, then the sand after and finally the remaining saltwater. I made around 40 gallons of rodi water as well and will wait for the rock to be in the tank to turn it into saltwater to fill the tank.

Gotcha!

Hey man remember this is a labor of love. No one is paying you to do this. In fact it's the very opposite. Take your time and enjoy the process, and remember...

Your tank is only going to look like this for a short period of time. As long as it's structurally sound, and has good platforms and spaces to grow corals, you're good.

I know you said goodnight, but look what I got @Calmwaters! Can't wait to try one out tomorrow!

Oh my gosh I'm so excited for you!!! I hope you like them! My box for good month should be here any day now!

Alright I got two of the three structures done. I posted them in my SR 80 Build thread. I really want to get the third done so its done drying around the same time as the others but I am tired 😴 . We shall see...

Can you post a link to your build thread so I can find it?

They may look lopsided a bit in the pictures but I added rock pieces and super glued them to the base to make sure they do not wobble at all so it will lay flat on the glass. In the tank I may add a bit of extra rock support near the bases just to make sure no sand sifter gets too close to the base as well.
