What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
You got a "love" emoji out of me.

While I am not too crazy about humans, I do love animals.

I get a kick out of the blanket on the couch. We have blankets on everything too.

I would threaten them with a lawsuit if they keep posting pictures of your fish without your expressed written approval.

For you 3d printing guys and gals. VR made these awesome float rings for the corals. It was as wide as the cup so the coral didnt move and of course they float off the bottom.

Ive never received a coral package like this! The corals were even in thermal sleeves!

I have spoken with to my friend Krammer’s attorney and he said it was incredulous!

I wounder how hard it would be to build a freshwater tank that looks saltwater, then put some African cichlids in it

Maybe 20 years ago if not a little more, my dad and I did do a Cichlid tank but since all we had known was saltwater we built the infamous rock wall everyone did back then in reefs for a Cichlid tank 😂

yeah, that's back up. it's one of those coated blankets. since they like to sit in this spot, when she comes in from the snow issue, she's still a bit wet. We towel her dry for most of it but goes right to this spot as soon as she come back in. hair dryers take too long.

Keep in mind, the top of baffle #4 (far right baffle) controls the water depth in your chamber 2. If you want to ensure the water is passing through the media basket in chamber 2, you could either raise baffle #2 another inch or lower baffle #4 an inch. It may not be necessary, but just food for thought.
+5

I think #2 is what I would go with. Simple but effective. Nicely done.

Not hard at all. Use Texas Holey Rock and white sand with crushed coal and poof you got what you want. Just choose your cichlids wisely as some are now aggressive than others and you could end up with a single species. I use to have a tank of African Cichlids.

Pitho's have become popular lately and I've never tried them, I'm tempted, do you know if they are less likely to go after corals then Emeralds? I've had emeralds try to eat zoas before.
I've never had a problem with Pithos. I have three in my tank right now.

my pathos had never touched a coral. they live buried in the sand and come out when lights go out. then they mostly hug the glass. but they help churn the sand. I really ever see them on rocks climbing.
Mine are on the rock every night hunting bubble algae or grazing on turf.

I raised Oscars, I know all about aggression with them, had one live 12 years

I had electric yellow cichlids, dusty cichlids, acei cichlids and julidochromis. It was a very active tank with not too much aggression.

Well a late start but good day everyone! It's

Tuesday so be safe out there.

What if I fold my leftover chicken tenders into a taco? Then I can participate in Taco Tuesday
