Ah! Well, it’s all HOB equipment? Can we take a few inches of water out without any equipment sucking air, at least until the tank can be moved 90 degrees, ideally to rest against a load bearing wall?

Well they look to be in good condition, and aren’t shaped like bananas so that’s a great start!

Can we confirm that the tank is indeed running parallel to the joists?

If the tank is perpendicular to the joists already, and is already against a load bearing wall; the alternative would be screw jack pillars in the basement to support the floor joists under the tank!

Ground level... If you were to go outside yes this wall is touching the ground? However underneath there is a concrete wall.. the basement

I can take water weight out but it'll stress fish most likely. I'm replacing the remora soon with the sump.. but I think that's just more weight lol.

That wall, if it is an outside wall and the joists are running perpendicular (away from) to the wall, that is a load bearing wall.

Ok so this may not look like much but I sketched everything. The lines running through are the joists. The rectangle is the tank and the line behind the rectangle is the wall. Behind that is the outside.

I'm pretty sure we've clarified this already but I just wanted to see if that would help even though the drawing is horrible.

Yup, this is load bearing, the concrete is effectively a foundation wall!

So, given that the floor is still moving, despite correct tank placement, the simplest fix might be to add the aforementioned jack posts in the basement, under those floor joists!

The remora rubbing against the wall is the consequence of the whole floor, and thus the whole tank moving as you walk!

My best bet for now would to run skimmer less. Sadly this remora doesn't do much as of right now. So it's time I move into my sump era.
The only thing is a sump weighs A LOT more then the remora.

Yes it does… probably around 200lbs more!

Thankfully, adding jack posts to the basement isn’t particularly challenging to do! (Assuming you can talk dad into it!)
