Teach us what you learn, have a great day.

I just finished a 10 gallon water change and removed a munch of hair algae. I worked on it for about 3 hours and it doesn’t even look like I removed anything lol. I tested the LFS water and the nitrate and phosphate was 0. I will ask them what the TDS is and if it is 0 I think I am going to start FluxRX. What do you think?

Not terrible but definitely not perfect.
But it’s not bad enough to be causing hair algae.

Also I have been using this water for 10 months .

It’s not ideal, I know this has been mentioned many times but it is time to get a RODI unit. It will let you have complete control of the water you use. They may have told you 5 when it was 10 because they were embarrassed of the water quality the water they were selling you was. With your own unit you’ll know exactly what is going in your tank and you’ll have piece of mind.

Yeah ik I need to get a RODI unit. I am trying to save up. Also I don’t think my parents want it in the laundry room.

I was going to get some Flux RX at the LFS but they didn’t have any but they gave me this and said it works great for hair algae. It’s a fish medicine but apparently works for algae what do u think?
