Yes. I guess we all are.

I have always been part of his life and talk to him several times a week and have sent money to support him. And I have visited as often as I could so it was not a lot different than someone having shared custody where the parents live in different states. It was not an easy decision but it was what I thought was best for him at that time in my life. Life there is different than here. All we do here is work work work work and for a long time I worked 2 to 3 jobs to support myself and my mom and still be able to support him there. He grew up happy and loved and he's had a happy carefree childhood there. I thought long and hard before sharing it here as I am afraid people will judge me like they have in the past.

Honey, my life has been quite “colorful” and I made a similar decision when my daughter went to high school. So no judgement here!

What I came to realize is that who one shows up to be every day is what matters; those in your life that pay attention to that vs. the messy stuff are the real family and get you.

I haven’t even met you, and I already know an incredibly kind, emphatic, strong, decisive, and loving to all, woman.

So Stomatella snails. I just got the 6-pack from TSA and put them in tank on Wednesday night, after all fishies had gone to bed.
