I didn't see my leopard for several days

My Garnoti (before she jumped) went 3 and a half weeks after I added her. Never saw her. Then one day she was out swimming. Most active fish in my tank for the 3 months I had her.

It's not though. As the supervisor it's my job to ensure we're successful throughout the year. When they take my operating funds to pay for other projects, I can't complete my own projects. This is the second time this fiscal year (started July 1) that they've made me take my crew, my materials, and my O&M funds to fix something for a different department. That means I now have to perform my annual workload technically in less time and for less money.

I can confirm it is algae! It sure looks like it but I’ve never had it so let others chime in. I’ve only seen pictures.

water change done! how long do you guys like to wait after a waterchange to check your parameters? im really worried about my gonis. they are def NOT happy! at least most of them.... :crying-face:

I test the night before to see how much water I need to make up.
Then I test a few hours after I change.
My tank is pretty much always the same before and after but I test a lot if I say run gfo or I'm trying to target a certain area.

Manual removal, boost cuc, hydrogen peroxide dosing and a blackout. I’ve never done a blackout.

I think a few days is okay, but try everything else first and then a reduction of hours lights are on and nothing is working a blackout for a few days. I doubt it will come to that.

Oh, that's a tough one. You'll have to pardon me because my brain is in grant-writing mode and I've got a bad case of C.R.S. right now. What kind of rocks do you have? NO3/PO4 levels? Lights? Sorry, I know I can look it up, just budgeting time :)

Quickly, my method of getting rid of GHA when it is like that is to (1) drain tank to level of rock affected by GHA--corals will be fine, I just use a pipette to keep them hydrated; (2) rip off as much as possible with paper towels, which helps grab it and get it all off; (3) use a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide and give the rocks a spray, enough to cover the surface where all GHA was, but not enough to start saturating the rocks and killing your bacteria inside the rocks--wait a few minutes while continuing to hydrate the corals/nems; (4) dump a bunch of CUC in, particularly Turbo snails, which keep the lawn mowed very well.

If the tank is very big and that's too much water to drain, I've got a little method using baby bottle nipples and pipette tips that can knock out patches of GHA at a time. Here are a few links--sorry, videos were deleted a long time ago to make space, so links broken:

Could it be too much white, green or red light? I don't really know but I've heard that too much percentage of those lights can bring in algae.

Not enough rock chewers. Astraeas, trochus and --most effective-- turbos will spend more time on the rocks. I also add a few money cowries for show. They are pretty when out and long-lived. Turbos are lawn mowers. They also, unfortunately, have a bad habit of knocking things over.
