Patience
What's up y'all?
Good morning!
It's Wacky Wednesday!

Do I have to do this again? Alright, my blood pressure, cholesterol, food prices, gas prices, inflation and interest rates. With your work schedule Joel it is more like Wacky Monday, have a great day back to work!

Next, I decide if I'm putting the rock directly on the glass, on the sand, or with a buffer of some other material between the glass and the rock
Any difference in using something to separate the rock from the glass or is just for aesthethics?
Add some MB7 and nitrifying bacteria, give it a day or two,
How do I know how much to apply and for how many days? I can easily get MB7, but what nitrifying bacteria do you recommend?

So I might have a little extra money coming my way and I want to buy some corals but I'm scared. How can I be sure the brown jelly is gone? I'm also thinking about getting some of the flat pieces of rock and doing a bit of rescaping to make more easy places to put coral.
Any other coral that you see sick?

Last of the fish for the 90g arrive soon! Couple of wrasses and a flame angel, always wanted one but was scared of it eating my corals and with only a few shroom hitchhikers and the bta why not. A lot different then adding it to a thriving tank and watching it munch away.
Shipped these to a ups access point about 45 mins away this time and heading out to pick them up. I am the very last delivery on the route and next day deliveries don't show up until 6-8pm. Plus the bouncing down all the rural gravel roads for 10-12 hours in the back of a UPS truck would be horrible for any living thing, I even feel bad for my driver, he is absolutely filthy at the end of the day with all that dust and his truck doors open.

The flame angel is a beautiful fish. I had one for a while and never had any problems with corals, but I did have problems with its aggressiveness towards new fish that I put in, but it had also been in the tank for a while.

yeah he is going into quarantine alone for quite a while and will be the last into the tank.
ha drove in here and its next to the ups facility but dont get their delivery til noon..... ugh

No most of them didn't make it and died by the time I got the medicine.
Wow, I thought brown jelly disease could only occur in LPS, I didn't know, it's something serious then

stopped at a local cafe and i had a full order if biscuits and gravy with eggs while we waiting for UPS... i need a nap now.

best looking out of the bag shipped fish i have ever received......

Both look awesome!
Flame looks rip roaring ready to go!

the wrasse is going crazy, lights came on and since there was no fish in the tank the last couple weeks its FULL of pods from the sea lettuce. In fact the sea lettuce is full of holes and all chewed up from the pods.

Mine sit right on the glass. Some people use a small piece of egg crate just to keep it up off the glass - less scratches. Some people set it in the sand but if you have sand dwellers they can shift the rock and cause structural failures.
How do I know how much to apply and for how many days? I can easily get MB7, but what nitrifying bacteria do you recommend?
I used LiveAquaria brand because I had a gift card. A lot of people use Dr Tim's. Follow the directions on the bottle for dosage amount. I just did 5 mL of LA Nitrifying Bacteria and 5 mL of MB7 daily for a week or two. Some people keep dosing until the ammonia and nitrite are 0 after adding the first couple of fish, I just didn't test...

Also to note, MB7 is technically Nitrifying Bacteria as well and can potentially be used by itself. It's just a different type of bacteria and may not have anything that detoxifies the ammonia which seems to be the real concern.

not too bad. i went to pick up my bucket of red sea salt at the lfs and they had ordered in the pro by mistake. so im trying to decide- should i just use it? whats the big diference? i noticed its higher alk but im trying to get that up higher anyway. whats your guys' thoughts?

No difference besides higher parameters, so don't do a giant water change. I think you can use it.

Hope you are doing better today :)
