Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
When I lived in Cuba we didn't spend the whole night in the mangroves and catch lots of them (we knew it by the name Jaiba)
Jaiba the Hut? A long long time ago did you live in a galaxy far far away?

When I was young, I know, hard to picture, my next door neighbor would take me and his son out in his boat to catch red fish with live shrimp. He would always stop at a bay and pound a stakes in with chicken necks tied to them. On our way back he would pull them out and those blue crabs would not let go of those chicken necks.
That's a great way to catch them Kevin. This time I used cage traps loaded with trout carcasses

All the trash talk about you Southerners, I have to confess that in the early 70’s I was a southerner for a few years but I never posted pictures in the winter of the weather and palm trees on forums that northerners could see! Moved from Florida to Connecticut my brother, sister and I had the full on southern drawl, yall as well. That didn’t play well in school as new kids and we probably set the record for being the quickest at losing an accent.

I just loaded the car with 3 lbs of butter and 20 heads of garlic. I’m on my way, fingers crossed they are afraid of bubble algae!
If I were them I'd be cramming every bubble algae I could find in my mouth. "Ooo, jacuzzi! Hey, what's all that butter for?"

If I put a sea hare in there what are the chances it just dies.
If there's enough food and if the water they're in is close to what your water is, the chances decrease drastically.

As long as you acclimated it like you would a fish you should be good.

I like seeing their weather and palm trees! But I LOVE the snow and always look forward to winter. Skiiing, snowmobiling, warm fires, hot chocolate and snowmobile club hosted brat feeds somewhere different every weekend!! Wouldn't give up this snow and cold! I see the downhill ski resort is prepping to start making snow (I can see the slopes from the house). Couple inches of snow expected monday, So it begins! Looks like we finally get some normal cold temps later next week, that will be nice to freeze up the ground for trail grooming, 600 miles of groomed trail here in the county.

I just had tun home from work. Someone damaged our mailbox. It was purposely. Checked rest of property and looks ok so far
We have a line of boxes at the top of the drive for the cul de sac. They got hit on Halloween.

Well, ours didn’t lol. Because ours sits back a wee bit so I think they couldn’t reach.

Ya, I grew up skiing, my parents always got season passes, except for when we lived in Florida for some reason. I did all four years of ski club in high school. But I’m old now and have one foot in the nursing home so I no longer associate winter with fun activities. Oh, I used to love ice fishing growing up but for some reason really didn’t do it much when I lived in Florida. :thinking-face:

First snow mobile I ever rode was when I was young and it was a Kit Kat. We were visiting friends in Traverse City in Michigan and my brother and I took them on the trails they had made. I was hooked.

Everyone should try it at least once and rent some. The machines and gear in the last 10 years just blow away anything in the past for performance, reliability and comfort. Heated gear and helmets with built in flotation so you dont drown when you go through the ice. Can ride at -20F going 80 mph and don't even get chilly. Can't believe any of us survived childhood with the old machines... I mean a kit kat.... A lot of old guys participate Kevin!

What I have been busy working on today. Doused it in boiled linseed oil and will be getting marine clear sealer maybe tomorrow. Mowed grass, replaced toilet handle that broke, Lowe's run. I think there is more lol. But was getting late and sour so forgot to blowoff grass before started.

Had really nice color to it so we grabbed. Want to brighten it so oil did the trick. Once dry I will hopefully be able to do a clear sealer.
