Been inactive for a bit. All new crustaceans are alive and my Florida ceriths finally got out of shock. Redid my phosbond and algae is looking better, turning white and their numbers are dwindling. Only a matter of time now. Also my conch might be dead.

Conch is fine lol. Found my only turbo snail behind the rocks on the sand flipped on his back while I was searching for sand GHA. I poked him somewhat hard on his body, he's in his shell and on a rock did I kill him??

Conch is fine lol. Found my only turbo snail behind the rocks on the sand flipped on his back while I was searching for sand GHA. I poked him somewhat hard on his body, he's in his shell and on a rock did I kill him??

My return pump kicked off yesterday and I got a kind of agitated call whilecI was on overtime. I had them make sure the crab hadn't gotten into the intake. Then the boys tried plugging it back in and it came on. They thought it felt hot so they started running a fan on it. It's still going, but I think I'll get another pump, swap them out and have this one for a backup. This one's a Reeflo Swordtail 1750 gph for $288.15. The Reeflo Dart/Snapper hybrid pushes 3600/2600 gph for $296.65. Looks like almost the same footprint, if it's a little different I can modify things. Do you folks think I should upgrade?

Might as well now's a good time.
Looks like the bigger pump is only a tad more.
You can always tune it down but you can't add more if you know what I mean.
Bigger pump looks like a great deal!

I stopped using PVC over 10 years ago.
Vinyl tubing for me.
No cutting, no glue, no mess, no head loss, no vibrations.
I only use jebao returns and run almost no return flow to my tank.
Just me. :smiling-face:

I love the idea. I've used 1" poly quite a bit. Sadly I just bought a bunch of 2" PVC to make the "pod highway" from my refugium to my DT. Not completely converted yet I guess.
