Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
You can also dose nitrates and phosphates. I have a ton of powder to do both if you want some.
Well i turned off my skimmer yesterday, here's hoping it makes abdifference. I fed 2 cubes of food last night too for good measure... I blew off my rocks and a lot came off and had some GHA growing under the mats.

Are your corals any better Luis?
I don't see any improvement for now but I don't see that they are worse either, yesterday I fed some mysis with ab+ and there was a good reaction to the food, I hope that with everything I did yesterday the favias start to improve, because the strangest thing is that it is only one type of coral, well apart from the torch

I'm in Sylva NC so I'm kind of north west of you I guess.
Nice! Up, down or over? lol.

Easley is a decent place, growing in people but not any really good pet shops. We have one good reef store, Zac’s. Some of the best people I’ve met. Their manager is amazing. (Australian Cattle dog) lol.

Glad that nothing got worse!

You are busy with work my friend, high po4 and problems with my 3 favias and a torch head that bail out

I wanna get a new fish in there so bad. But its a terrible idea lol. Ive got 5 gallons of saltwater.. I think I'm gonna pull rocks again specifically the two on the right side. And maybe the one on the left. Only problem I have is the amount of cuc in the tank now could cause issues I don't wanna kill them by dipping them into a new bucket of water.

But you mean diping the rock with the cuc on it? Take the rock out of the water, remove the cuc and put them back in the tank, because if you're going to do something with the rock like some chemical they're not going to survive.

So reefers, what plans do you have for the tank or tanks this week?
I'm off today and tomorrow so I'm thinking i might take out the the rocks that I can in my big tank and scrubb the algea off again. I have lots going on for the pico build the new heater is coming and hopefully my macroalgea and cuc and sexy shrimp.

I really need to frag my Raja Rampage chalice, I’ve let it get to big. Might frag my candy cane, it’s up to 20 heads and if that’s the case perhaps my gold hammer. We will see , I really hate fragging.

The only satisfying thing about fragging is that it is a sign of a healthy tank and can get you money for the same tank maintenance ;)

Do I need to pm you my address so these poor coral frags can have a new wonderful home?

The one you sent me the link to. I have used there products many years and have always been happy with them.

Yes yes I remember, and for ato reservoir what are you going to use?
I have several two gallon buckets that I can use until I can get something prettier. Lol
