My lights increase every 5% and I see it too much, the new model does do it 1% at a time.

I looked it up, and the new models do 10% increments. Some people were able to email the seller and get the old timers to change it back to 1% increments but I have had these lights long enough I don't want to pester anyone about it now.

Oh not too bad, busy as usual haha. Thanks man I appreciate it. Hoping that I finally got things dialed in as far as fighting off the cyano. Can't wait to see if things start growing better now that they don't have webs of cyano growing on then at all times :grinning-face-with-sweat:

It's so frustrating when you put in all this hard work and money, to have it covered in something you didn't invite or want! Mine right now is aiptasia and whatever that coral nuking incident was the other day.
I couldn't agree more with Kevin and Luis. I think go slowly with the light, but at those percentages, you might need a raise. Be careful with how much white you add to your final totals bc of algae. (You already know this).
Maybe start a thread asking other users of your light what settings they have had success with? It sounds to me as if your hammer is pretty good at telling you where it's happy!

Yea my whites as low as it will go haha. Everyone i see on here apparently has the old lights that had single digit adjustments because they say like 3 or 4%. Maybe I can find the old timers online somewhere? Someone said something about using a raspberry pie to do it and give it the ability to ramp up and down but I'm no tech genius so I'm not sure about programing something like that

I just picked up my guitar from getting a set-up performed after I finished my build.


I think we have some axe players here, so I'm going to post about my 5 year build. I started this in 2020 getting this piece by piece. I live in Seattle -Tacoma area and was able to visit the Lollar shop in Tacoma and get a T52 neck pickup, which I mostly use, and ordered a Semour Dunkin 52 Tele bridge pickup. Has a Mojotone wiring harness. Everything in it is 52 Telecaster for sound. Body, neck and tuners are modern. I choose this route because Fender doesn't offer anything like this.

Do your lights have an acclimation mode? That would probably be useful with 10% adjustments. Again, I'm not familiar with your lights.

No. Unfortunately they are very basic. 2 channels, each one has an on and off time and they each adjust in 10% increments. That said, they are very bright and dirt cheap. I may eventually get something nicer and out these over a frag table or something, but for now they work.
