Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
And I'm extra broke because I have reef tanks and a horse... both expensive hobbies...
Too true. My girls want horses in the worst way.

Been a bad week. Lost my yellow wrasse on Sunday, went in midnight to clean my broken down, stagnant tank on Tuesday and did exactly what you're not supposed to do, went to ER on Wednesday morning with potential palytoxin poisoning or sepsis, then 3 antibiotics + CT + EKGs + lots of needles later was discharged Thurs night, then Fri morning came to find CBB dead on sand, most SPS RTN'd and about half of LPS dying in the main display.

Today has been a good day, though. Winning at the dad game so far.
So sorry man. The dad thing sounded good though!

It does feel good when you power through the crazy, keep your cool and turn the near disasters into a successful outing.

And like I said in some other post, when I told the kids about my IV, blood draws in both arms and hand, and a shot in the stomach, they basically see me now as The Incredible Hulk.

Big man, Luis! He's gotten big just in the short time I've known you! Good work papa!
We have to enjoy every moments with them, John. They really grow very fast, brother.

We have one more OB appointment on Monday and then the plan is to arrive at the hospital at 5 AM on Wednesday for an induction (induced labor). Solid chance the baby will be born that day. Hopefully in time for the kids to come see her. They have that day off because it's a major first class feast, Saint Joseph. Josephina was thrilled, "The baby's going to be born on my saint's feastday!"

Also first class feasts mean a break from Lent, so y'all will be hearing from me while we're in the hospital. Heck, having a baby means a break from Lent, to be honest.

So Happy for guys, Here we will wait for the photos of the new member of the family, my friend.

Excuse my ignorance Wes, what does Lent mean?

Sorry, religious. Lent is the 40 days before Easter. We make sacrifices during that time to prepare for Easter and also to train our will to resist temptation. For example many children give up sweets during Lent. These sacrifices are often called penances. I gave up Reef2Reef Monday through Friday. Sundays are always a first class feast, so you don't have to continue the sacrifice on Sunday. Any other first class feast that falls in Lent works the same way. But I would also try to get to Mass (church) on that 1st class feast. Since we will be in the hospital we wouldn't be expected to either do penance or go to church :-)

Thanks for the explanation my friend
