Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Exactly! The first thing I thought was ato. Then water changes, and even wavemakers after lights out. I didn't know such a thing existed! I'm buying one immediately. Man you are such a wealth of gadget knowledge
This one is thanks to Tim!!

Mine aren't Kasa but they do the same thing. You can also make little programs that allow you to turn off/on multiple devices - feed mode, water change, etc. For water changes I turn off the ATO and return pumps. Sometimes I turn off all flow, sometimes I turn off the sump. One button for off, one for on and multiple devices are controlled.

I have several that aren't currently in use so they just show as Offline because they're unplugged.

If you live in an area where they are referred to as "crayfish ", I assure you, they don't boil and eat them there. :)
We call them crayfish here but the local restaurant lists them as crawfish.

Trying to get my boys to go there and try it out.

I've gotten a crayfish steampot before... They're so expensive for water cockroaches... They're tasty but I prefer frog legs or scallops any day.

I might do a half pound of crawdads, half pound of brown clams, and a half pound of black mussels. Never had green mussels before.

I just want my kid to grow up with a good childhood like that. Not sitting inside waiting for a new video game
It’s funny my oldest son went to one of his friends house when he started middle school, he had been going since elementary school. When I picked him up he said he didn’t want to go back. I asked what happened and he said all his friend wanted to do was sit in the basement and play video games. Both of my boys were outdoorsy. My daughter was the athlete, little league one state twice and went to the World Series in Kirkland Wa. Played travel ball from eleven to eighteen and high school ball. Pitching and batting coaches the whole time, college showcases etc. very little video games.

That's crazy y, I didn't know something like this existed. All that controllability would be amazing.

$13 a lb wow. Yep it's all about where you are!

Plain old American cheese rolled into a ball on a bluegill hook, or white bread same as above. Best though is probably those little freeze dried shrimp. You really don't need a hook at all, just fishing line. They grab the bait, not the hook.
When growing up, we used wonder bread balls on kite string or fishing line if we could afford it.
