@kingranch2003 so I got the 2 acans and the torch coming, plus these 6 and some sort of mystery frag or two. This second batch was all auction and I was able to get the 2 acros for $16 and $18 so here's hoping :grinning-face-with-sweat: i got my afr dialed right in and my nuisance algae is a zero issue now. Gonna retest all parameters in the coming days but everything seems dialed to try my first acros I suppose. Was almost hoping someone would out bid me but I won those bids lol I don't care that for the fact that all of SBB's favias and acan echinatas etc are called "encruster" so we'll see what I actually get. I think those are both favia and not echinata

Do not let the acros throw you off, you've got this. They're going to want your high light, and you need to splash that water around up there. Here's a suggestion. Maybe place them on frag racks or somewhere near where they're going to end up. You should see a ripple across the polyps if they're extended and happy. I'm just collecting mine as frags for now. If they take off, I may mount them. I may not.

You can't lose there. In my humble opinion, vary your heights and colors. Don't be afraid to let them touch.

Do not let the acros throw you off, you've got this. They're going to want your high light, and you need to splash that water around up there. Here's a suggestion. I got an acro too in the auctions. It looks pretty big, and i won it for 30 bucks. Pretty nervous...

Anyone in the market for lights, I can confidently recommend the new meridians from Reef Breeders. Two of the smallest lights, Meridian 11, are blanketing my 75g reef front to back

I went from this….48” photon 48 v2+ 48” bar + 24” bar

And I’m getting equal to better coverage, and more color, and more control, equal par, from these two little Meridian 11 panels

I'm chewing over supplemental lighting vs lighting overhaul but if I do a overhaul it won't be for awhile.
