I feel like individual tests are a better way to go than the master tester. What do I need alk, phosphate, nitrate, calcium, phosphorus? What do I you guys think? Someone said they thought Salifert was a better route for Magnesium? Thanks

Salifert probably only somewhat accurate for mag.
Hanna for phos, nitrate, alk.
That's all I use but stopped testing for mag long ago since it was all over the place.
Some of the api tests are fine too, really.
Hanna is easy and you don't have to try to figure out what color is what.
I have a pinpoint marine ph meter cuz I find that fun and interesting but it needs to be calibrated monthly.

I am assuming a lot of people here use Hanna for alk, nitrate and phosphate only. Others brands for calcium and magnesium (salifert, red sea...). I think Hanna copper is good for people doing quarantine.
