Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
The big rabbitfish has taken to hiding at the bottom of the tower during the day. He was out swimming this morning, but goes under there the rest of the day. He looks okay and ate aggressively this morning, but didn't come out when I fed this afternoon. I squirted food into the "rock portal" and then peeked through the bottom of the tower and I can tell he is grabbing the food.

@smitten with ocean life all you do is wash them then shake off any excess water, then tear the leafs off the stems and put them in a big bowl, the recipe said about 2 inches for each chunk but I didn't worry about that part, after that toss them in a little olive oil, then lay them out in a single layer on a baking pan sprinkle them with salt, put them in the oven then turn it on to 300. Once the oven is at 300 cook for 5 minutes then turn the oven off but leave the kale in there until the oven cools off. You might have to repeat the last step until they are as crispy as you want them it took me two times to get them how I wanted them. You do not preheat the oven.

@WalkerLovesTheOcean , any pictures of your haul?
Sorry! The LFS was 2 hours away, and we hit some traffic! I just got the clam in after a long acclimation, so he's not that open... yet! Better pics will come tomorrow!

The clam is so sensitive, even if a fish swims by he retracts! But that means that he's healthy!

The hermit crab has been less active and when I put half a silverside in the refugium it felt colder than normal. I have a second Finnex 300W heater which I added to the tank after that. It's digital display said 74 degrees and it's been creeping up ever since (set to 78). I also added a power head to mix the water in the tank more thoroughly.
Sorry. I can't find any of my brighter flashlights so the pictures aren't great.

Nice haul Walker, I want clams so bad. I tried a derosa my first go round and a squamosa in this tank but neither worked out. Fingers crossed when I upgrade.
