Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
If it doesn't work out I can resell and order something like an aqua clear.
I ran an aquaclear for years with mangroves in it until the roots took out the impeller.
Probably the best and longest lived of the hobs.

These are ok and don't take up that much in tank room.
After a while the body gets covered in coraline anyway.

I'm doing a 5g waterchange right now, I may to more later, hopefully at least another one tomorrow. The water in the bucket looks green to me.

Algae bloom.
UV would help.
Water changes are your friend here.
Not your regular bacterial bloom.
Bacterial bloom water is cloudy but when you change it most of the time it's clear in your bucket.
Neither one is going to hurt anything and they usually go away, although green water is slower to go away since you have algea growing/on the water molecule itself.
I'm going to suggest lights out for a few days, feed fish as normal, change 10 gallons every other day for 5 days.
Water changes won't hurt anything, just keep new water consistent.
You can also ride it out and see what happens but I'd say to be proactive with the green water.
I've had this happen to me before.
Skimmer going, run it wet.
Just my 2 cents.

I'm throwing darts here Walker, but is your ato water good? Nothing foul in there? Are all creatures including corals accounted for?

Wow I agree. It does look algael

I'm being offered a free remora pro from an old old friend I just have to pay shipping. Do I take it?
I used a Remora Pro on a 40 Breeder back around 2005 or so. Pretty good skimmer for a HOB. I'd take it. Even better the Tunze Comline 9004 is a really good internal skimmer that surface skims, so better for in tank. I use one in the back of my 100 lagoon. Tunze makes good skimmers.

What a great band!
They were together for only a couple of years and made such an impact. Check out The Graham Bond Organisation. That's where they all started playing together. It's like hippie blues/jazz fusion. Killer stuff!

Too much pythoplankton maybe?

It's not necessarily a bad thing but it can get out of hand and fast.
I had a freshwater tank that ran like this for years.
I never saw the fish.
Ever.
Finally decided I'd clear it out and it took 4 75 percent water changes but it worked.
It came back in a month or so.
Put a green killing machine on it and it was gone in a day and never came back.

Got it, thanks Joel!

I believe the water is good, I'll test in a minute. I think I've seen all fish, and all the coral looks okay besides being slightly closed because they can not get light.
