Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Snail eggs? I have turbo, nassarius, and bumblebee. It's either that or the tailspot is spray painting gang graffiti on the glass.

They look like Nassarius

Tanks good! I noticed that some of my corals seems to be responding well to my gradually light increase. I think my feeling that my tank was "stalling" was 100% light based.

As far as the Ford goes I'm cleaning out the garage after work these last few nights so I can pull the engine and replace a rear main seal
The truck sounds like a fun project that you can get to as you want. I've been paying close attention to the lighting thing lately. What looks better to you about your corals? Did you see signs that they were in need of more light? Cupping, reaching or color loss?

Cool Tim I was definitely looking for your response to this. I have a giant nassarius named Queen Nassartiti. I noticed a yellow area on her abdomen the last few days. She's always right there on that part of the glass. I'm guessing these will become fish food and not a new little cuc?

Just not doing much. The monti digitata now has some definite new growth and pocillopora has been growing fuzzier and where a part snapped awhile back when i was epoxying it in place has healed over and grow new polyps. Where before it was just sitting dorment like

Nassarius snails rarely survive past hatch. CUC will eat some eggs, some eggs may hatch and become food for fishes. I think I've had 3 snails successfully make it to baby snails.

I guess that's a good thing as I'm running out of sandbed space for them due to corals lol

Yep, it sounds to me like you were right. I saw these signs too, right before I ramped up my lights. Slow incremental changes have helped me as well

Im interested to see how much more AFR I need to start dosing now that my corals are potentially going to start growing :thinking-face:

He is 15 but doesn't act his age lol he's a Tennessee Walker.
Hes a handsome boy. I thought he was gonna be older surprisingly! All of my boys are 20+. Cookie I believe is 12 and Lilith is 10. All of them rescues, and I usually try to pull the senior when I can (except for Lilith, she was my first).

That'll be fun to watch. A big change here would certainly indicate growth! I can't believe my tank still stays within the parameters with water changes only. I keep expecting that to change

The lady I got him from rescued him from an auction. He had horrible feet but they are better now. He a sweet boy and loves peppermint. Lol I want to eventually get a friend for him I have had him since December.

I stopped doing regular water changes and have started back up again so I'm going to have to adjust my dosing regardless. That's a good point I hadn't thought about
