Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Growing a batch of frogs again
Hmmm, on purpose? If so would you mind sharing the purpose? It would take a lot of legs to feed your family.

Late lunch/early dinner! I’ve never a Brazillian wax, pictures are a must! I wondered why the water had a slight lobster/butter flavor.
Kev, starting dinner. Added something just for you!

These are little tree frogs. You'd have to swallow them whole. 😁 It happened by accident last year. I have nowhere to store the pool during the off season, and on this hilltop if I drained it, it would become the biggest kite you ever saw. Frogs found it and made lots of little frogs. I actually like listening to the frogs croaking at night. When they are fully developed, most of them move out of the pool and into our garden. Since I like having them there I thought I'd do it on purpose this year. The pallets are meant to give them cover and increased egg laying surfaces. We have to clean it anyway when the weather warms up. And the frogs don't make that any harder. 😁

Best and most humane way to euthanize a fish. My poor royal gramma is on the sand blown up like a puffer fish, breathing rapidly and has lost most of its color. Zip lock bag and in the freezer?

Aw, I love the sound of tree frogs, we get little ones here called Spring Peeps. I sometimes find them on our windows. Nice to have them in the garden eating all the problematic insects.

When we were cleaning the pool last year we set up an inflatable kiddie pool to move the last tadpoles into. My younger dog destroyed it. Very few tadpoles had been moved, but my 5 year old niece went into her dad's house and shrieked "The frogs are all dead! Everyone kneel down! We have to pray for the frogs!" 😂 We set up a plastic noninflating wading pool and were able to transfer the rest of the tadpoles when we cleaned the pool. A little trickle of water was sufficient to keep the water cool enough until the frogs moved out.

Sorry Kevin. I've heard Clove oil works well. You dose a little at a time. I've heard you can boil some cloves an water, and that is almost the same as Clove oil. Freezing may work, however I think adding the fish to really cold ice water would be better, as the fish doesn't live for awhile, while the water is cooling down in the freezer. The ice cold water will slow down the breathing of the fish, and cause it to pass.

This morning the big rabbitfish spooked when I got near the tank and ran straight into the rightmost lid. He dashed around the tank for a bit, then hid in the leftmost rocks. Shortly after that he went and hid in his spot at the base of the tower. So I squirted some food into the tower for him.

Thanks Walker, the nassarius snails started to work on him and he was still alive so I put him in a ziplock without water and put him in the freezer. He was one of my first batch of fish. I hope the clowns let me replace him unlike the damsel. That can be expected because they are damsels. They had no problems with the yellow coris wrasse or the blenny so fingers crossed that this time next week I have a replacement.

Sorry my friend!
I cannot tell anything from the video but I'm old and blind.
Strange that this would just appear, especially in that spot.

So sorry Kev
Part of reefing Luis, just hope I can replace it. Reef medics told me almost 2 weeks ago that they don’t know what causes it but it’s fatal. It’s not like I had a happy, eating, healthy fish one day and found it dead the next morning.
