Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Part of reefing Luis, just hope I can replace it. Reef medics told me almost 2 weeks ago that they don’t know what causes it but it’s fatal. It’s not like I had a happy, eating, healthy fish one day and found it dead the next morning.
Sorry Kev.

Tough stuff, but yeah..

Before and after. My current plan is to harvest on Monday the 28th

Sorry Kev :crying-face: ❤️
Suckiest part of the whole hobby...

Best and most humane way to euthanize a fish. My poor royal gramma is on the sand blown up like a puffer fish, breathing rapidly and has lost most of its color. Zip lock bag and in the freezer?
So sorry Kevin

I need help!

Over the past couple days y’all know about my hammer is having some issues. Well, the hammer has completely died. I also lost two torches and one other little hammer now my big frog spawn that is looks so healthy for so long is dying as well. The frog spans flesh band is growing onto the frag plug and has 15 little baby heads coming in. What’s weird is it isn’t the flesh band receding. It’s dying from the inside out or from the inside of the mouth and then receding out. It’s been the same death for these corals. I’m really not sure what’s going on here. I just tested everything here the results.

Salinity- 1.026
Alk -9.1 usually 8 but seems a bit high
Mag - 1350
Cal - 378 seems a little low what do you think
Nitrate - 8.8
Ph - I tested 4 times - 2 times was 8.6 and 8.3 and 8.5

The pH might be a little higher because my alk has gone up a little bit?

What do y’all recommend doing?

The frogs spawn that is dying is still in the tank. Should I leave it in there? He has so many little baby heads do you think I could save them? Should I just siphon out the dead head?

Sorry to hear. It seems you may have a bacterial infection of some kind. I can travel quick. if you can separate the uninfected heads and do anti bacterial dip.

Sorry guys, 9 pages is a little much for me to go back through. Did I miss anything?

Ok so should I just toss the frog spawn and dead hammer with the 2 baby heads?
Should I dip the corals that look fine? There was a hammer that died right next to all of these guys.

And does this look like a bacterial infection?
