So yesterday was my day off.
I've got some restaurant things to get ready for mothers day but it was raining.
Anyhow, about a year ago, my wife noticed a medium dog running around the supermarket parking lot so she picked it up and brought it home.
We had it upstairs with my daughter for about a week.
It was hell.
The dog is a sweetheart but my two morkies are more like dottybacks.
Finally someone answered the lost poster for the dog and came and got him.
Needless to say my daughter was heartbroken and they exchanged numbers.
Flash forward to last week and the woman calls needing to re home the dog.
So my daughter has been looking for her own place to keep the dog.
Not so easy to do.
My wife and I decided to rent a b&b for her for 3 days so she could see what dog ownership was all about.
Yesterday was take back day, which was hours north of here off grid.
About a mile from the house the dog jumped up and started barking.
When we let him out, he ran off everywhere, totally excited.
We drove home quietly.
I haven't heard about the dog since, weird since for weeks it was uttered every other word.
I wasn't ready for my daughter to move out yet, well, really I am but this was a good lesson for her.
And me.
And that, John,
@kingranch2003 is why I spent 5 hours in the car yesterday.
