I had one years ago that lived about 5 years.
I only saw it a handful of times.
I hadn't seen it in about a year and it popped out of the rocks said hello and I didn't see it again for another year.
They're cool fish when they're outgoing just gotta get that one.

sesame oil is key to wok cooking. I like to see people using cast iron. it's much more efficient.

I was feeding frozen food to my fish this evening. I shake the food up in an old algaebarn jar and pour a little at a time into the tank, or use a bulb feeder to target various individuals. I also had a pint mason jar with Jim Beam Black Label. Weston started talking to me about the Mushroom. I forgot which glass was in my hand and took a sip. I made surprised noises and spat it back into the jar. Weston laughed...a lot. Reminded me of sushi, but saltier.

No Wes I would not.
But great for saute.
I use it primarily in salad dressing.
It also cooks well in a wok.

That was my second time making pork egg foo young. The first time I used my wife's deep fryer. I couldn't really get the patties to form, and the food kept getting stuck in the element. So this time I followed the originator's method, but I'm not good at controlling the temperature on a stovetop, so I didn't keep the oil hot enough. It was cooked through, but was too wet. I did get some patties to form, but everything was too soft. The flavor was good (due to the char siu, and gravy), but the texure was off. Just telling you all this to say how much I admire the ability of someone like you, who can produce amazing meals consistently, and on the fly.
