Not sure if I was on last night and told the Smorg or not. So, I will say it now. I saw a post on FB Marketplace about someone getting out of the hobby. They were local to me, so I messaged them. Comes to find out, the tank was SERIOUSLY neglected, all the corals were dead and/or dying and they were just wanting to get rid of stuff. I went over because the lady said she had a Biota yellow tang. I ended up going over there and helping catch fish, CUC and what corals were left. I also set up a pump in the tank to drain the water outside. Any how, I left after rescuing the yellow tang, tomini, multiple blue leg hermits, two hammers and a duncan. I tested the water in their tank while I was there and the salinity was 1.019. No wonder the corals were dying! I acclimated the fish/corals for about an hour then put them in. I did dip the corals just in case. This morning I check on the tank and the tangs were sleeping under a rock arch and the corals were all open. I was pretty stoked since I thought the corals weren't going to make it, they looked terrible in their tank. They also had a hawk fish, coral beauty and breeding pair of clowns, but I took those to the LFS along with about 120lbs of Fiji live rock.
