Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I woke up this morning to all of my beautiful fish being dead. I checked salinity and temp. All fine there. The water looks like it might be a bit hazy. Not 100% sure. I did a test strip real quick just out of reaction and have detectable nitrites!?!
Sorry John. I was working outside most of the day and just catching up.

Sounds like everyone has it covered in terms of what could have happened.

Definitely recommend an inkbird to help with temp regulation.

I am with you…we get attached to these animals and it’s hard to lose them.

I appreciate it brother. Yeah man it was just so crazy and random. I do have to beef up with the inkbird. Id like to know exactly what I did wrong so it won't happen again.
Im happy for the few survivors.

You may have not done anything wrong. Maybe one fish died which contributed to a bacterial bloom…which lowered oxygen, which killed other fish. Crazier things have happened.

In smaller tanks things can take a turn for the worse rather quickly. Time to upgrade! Just kidding friend. You’ll get everything back on track shortly.

I meant to add 50% but I think I added 75%. Zoas are loving it. Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

One day this will be the perfect POTM entry for something lol

Sometimes these are better than green bottles Luis. (Only sometimes)
That’s the funniest thing I’ve read on R2R since I’ve been on here! Good one John, I’m going to get up soon when I stop rolling on the floor laughing so I can get some dry pants and underwear.

wow kevin! im anxious for when i have that many white worms to feed! im carefully picking out for the cbb and he gulps them down as fast as they fall. its sure making a dent in the population! 😬 not sure how many i can afford to feed! i keep trying to get him to eat other things but no go yet
