Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
You alternate the ibuprofen and acetaminophen Amanda. For example, motrin first then four hours later tylenol, four hours later motrin, four hours tylenol. That way you are keeping the dosing of each at every eight hours, but you have something on board every four hours.
Didn't you mean every 2 hour hours? so you take tylenol every 4 hours and ibuprofen every four hours but are taking them offset by 2 hours.? 8am Tylenol, 10am ibuprofen, 12pm Tylenol, 2pm ibuprofen etc...?

Ya, to many, my understanding is they live in our tanks for a couple days and I didn’t mean to put that much in. 7 fish. My yellow wrasse does the best job of cleaning them up.
That's good to know. I drop them in a couple at a time to make sure they get eaten! Next time, I'll turn off the powerheads and feed the zoas/lps

Good morning Luis, move you and your family up to north east Ohio so you aren’t so tired! Oh, the cost of living is low.
We would all three be close enough to have tank parties!

Uhmm...
0800 - Motrin
1200 - Tylenol
1600 - Motrin
1800 - Tylenol
That's the protocol I recommend to my Veterans when they are having pain issues. That way you keep the motrin and tylenol dosages at the recommended every eight hours, but you are overlapping meds so you don't have such a swing as your body (liver/kidneys) break it down.

Jill,

If the tank isn’t cycled and doesn’t have bio media in it, then you really need to keep an eye on ammonia. Even if it is cycled and you are putting a large amount of food in it I would still test for ammonia as it will kill a fish pretty quickly.

Also, water changes are best if you notice ammonia above zero.

A skimmer isn’t a bad idea at all…especially to keep the water oxygenated.

Signs of possible ammonia poisoning are increased respiration rate and redness around the gills.

In addition to an ammonia test kit, I also use a seachem ammonia alert badge on any QT/observation tank for quick reference.

I would hate for ammonia to kill the fish after you worked hard to get it eating.

Good morning Tim. I think the work request you put in yesterday asking for rain got rerouted to Michigan. I thought I saw the Ark float by it was raining so hard.

Good morning Tom. Question for ya, would you be willing to make me some of the Meridian hanging brackets you made? I would obviously pay you for them.

We could relocate him to Sandusky, halfway between us, his son would love Cedar Point. Lots of green bottles and walleye fish fries! To make them feel more at home we could pitch in for a couple of those blow up plastic palm trees for their yard as house warming presents.

Kevin, after work I told my wife that I learned something new today. She asked what that was... so.. I said Elephant garlic has big bulbs... she didn't find the humor in it. Not sure why because I was laughing while trying to tell her that! 🤣

the pediatricians told me to do this with the kids when they have fevers and such to keep them comfortable. their bottles say 4-6 hours not to exceed 4 doses over 24 hours. so they do the combo but offset it by 2 hours. so 4 doses of each but alter the timing.

I like big bulbs, I can not lie! No other brother can deny!

They would love Cedar Point! Luis does like fishing, nothing better than jumping on Lake Erie during the walleye run. Heck, we could even go fish the Detroit River during the walleye run.
