Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
You did say the Meridians can go more white right? I do NOT like a heavy blue tank. I run my two Kessil a360x at 40% color during peak hours which is about 14K. Even on my ramp up and down I have whites added. If not, I will be selling my brand new, never used Meridian 35 and either getting another Kessil or go back to halides.
Yes the earlier shots I took at 9:15am or so are just the Meridian. I don't know how much PAR you'd have if you went pure daylight, but they can go much whiter than say my Primes or Blades. The light you see at 11:00am is heavily influenced by the Primes and Blades and the balance on the Meridian is skewed to closely match them. You may want to test them out to see what you get. @VintageReefer has Meridians and the Edge 14ks. He may be able to give more input as currently I'm more interested in balanced color and just starting to try to move to a whiter spectrum.

I'm assuming it would be hard to source ice rink liner locally in Arizona. Maybe that's why you decided on the box.
No idea where to even begin to look, maybe a hockey supply store or something?

what alarm is that one? Is that wifi?
Its a Ubiquity UniFi sensor tied to my home security setup. It's wireless and runs over Bluetooth back to my WiFi access points so it has alarms set that emails me and sends a notify alarm to my phones and computers. The same sensor, minus the water-proof housing, is used in other places for motion, temperature, humidity and open/close (magnetic) duties. It ties into the same screens and alarms with our cameras.

Good afternoon y'all. Off work for various reasons today. One being a CT scan of practically my whole body to check my lymph nodes

I have the Nest Cam on my tank and it allows a setting to hear smoke detector alarms and send a signal so I have that turned on. When the repeated tone starts from heater or something it will trigger it pending which alarm. The cam was originally to ensure the octopus wasn't crawling out. But she was intrigued by the ring of infrared lights on it and would always check it out. I have it aimed to see surface agitation and the temp on the tank which due to the thick glass is off by 2 degrees. but let's me know if I'm away and I can ask the neighbor to do something for me.

You da man Luis! Have you tried the crispy chicken taco or burrito yet?
I haven't seen those, I'll look for them next time, I'm actually a weird guy lol, I can eat the same thing forever lol, I go to the restaurants and places I like and I always order the same thing, sometimes without even looking at the menu

Same! But they have been advertising them a lot here. You seem to be the taco connoisseur, I thought I would get your opinion before I try them.

What they are promoting here now are chicken nuggets and chicken strips.

Ya, we’ve had them, come to think of it I think they probably just use the chicken strips In crunchy chicken taco and burrito.

I liked the nuggets with bell sauce.

made a bunch RODI this morning. finished out my resin. I got 30 gallons @ 0 TDS then when I went to check the next container, it showed 1 TDS. so those 3 gallons will go to outdoor plants. anyone think I should use the previous 5 gallons before that for fish tank or plant water too? was only those last 3 gallons when the little meter went from 0 to 1. I guess I could check with the hand held TDS meter too. But now I have to cut up hotdogs for the kids to eat by fork!
Should be fine Paul I'll use mine until I hit 5 then change the resin.
I'm more worried about chlorine and sediment anyways.

I've had good luck with them, mine are the PC-100As from American DJ. I have six of them around the house and have used one or two on every tank in the last 20-some years. Never had one fail (knock on wood). I use a plug in Self-Resetting Outdoor-rated GFCI plugged into a wall plug that has an outdoor cover over it.

Edit---

Forgot to add Tripp-Lite makes really good power equipment. It is all I use at our parish, except a few legacy APC units.
All I use is tripp-lite at home and now the restaurant.

No idea where to even begin to look, maybe a hockey supply store or something?
A piece of a pond liner would work or any heavy rubberized/plastic material really

Nothing wrong with that. I do the same. I usually get a comment like... "they have other things on the menu".
