A few quick design questions:
1. Would a cylindrical shape improve water flow efficiency?
2. Are bottom drainage holes required?
3. Should we include height adjustment to accommodate varying tank water levels? (Strong magnets boost performance but add costs and shipping fees.)

1. Personally, I think the cylinder makes for better water flow - it allows the water to flow around and doesn't just push the cube or food into the corner.

2. I like your design with the drainage holes in the middle - my fish swim into the bottom portion and it becomes a feeding tube

3. If you made a "hang-on" style instead of the magnets, it would need the ability to turn to adjust the flow entering the top body and height adjustment would be great - some tanks run 1/2" from the rim, some are closer to 2".

Also, yours is fairly large diameter. Making it skinnier would be fine - 1"-1.5" inside diameter would still work for 1-2, maybe even 3 cubes.

After 7-10 days.

Ufff I hadn't read this message, I don't think I can keep the skimmer off for 10 days, I feed heavy and my skimmer is a great support to reducing fish waste and I clean it weekly, plus it helps me a lot with the Ph, Well, we'll see how everything goes in the next few days.

We’ll merge both ideas and print test samples (as with the lights). Busy engineers = minor wait.

I have an idea. What if reshaping the black material into a fully submersible, capsule-style feeder with perforations—it could effectively distribute both floating and sinking food by leveraging water flow. We’ll need to experiment with hole sizing (adjustability would be ideal) and optimize the balance between flow resistance and food dispersion.

Yeah. There's nothing to be done tonight. We opened all the windows and doors and there are fans. Hopefully it'll cool down soon. They're new to AirBnB so they're still learning. We have 2 on our old place in Silverton that we've been renting out for several years. There's definitely a learning curve when you get started.
