What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Im gonna be impervious to everything soon! Or I'll just be forever sick lol
pink eye, lice, foot in mouth, , strep, . We never had the foot or lice. The conjunctivitis is about your son's age. The pain is the strep. parents send their kids to school all the time with that. your kid comes home with it, you bring them to doctor when you figure it out then you get it by that time. you send them back after you get treated then the other kids just give it right back. never ending cycle sometimes. Buy a stethoscope and a small pen light. monitor yourself for pneumonia and strep.

Well…in 20 years of reefing I can say that I’ve never bought a fish from Petco.

Was reading about buying from Petco online because it comes directly from the wholesaler…so decided to give it a chance.

They only shipped 5 of the 6 fish. Two were DOA on arrival, one is swimming like it has a swim badder issue and I don’t think it’s gonna make it.

We’ll see about the other two.

Note to self, won’t be trying this experiment again.

They did refund the money for the DOAs no questions asked or photos required, so that’s a positive I guess.

I wish I had a decent LFS in my area. So much easier to go see the fish in person and make a judgement call on purchasing.
I'm in the same boat as you my LFS is not good so I have to order online or drive several hours away.

I'm just forever sick now. When my kids aren't at school they're healthy. It's the other kids and their parents. They just give them tylenol and send them in so they don't have to stay home too. When you go to a grocery store when school is in session and see a 8 year old there....walk out of the aisle. "well might as well make it productive and do the weekly grocery shopping" 😡

when my kids get something I just call my own doctor now and they send the script in for me too.

I buy most of my fish from Petco...
Online or in person? Any luck with Fairy/Flasher wrasses from them? I had two DOAs and one is swimming vertically (probably a swim bladder issue) that I don’t think is gonna make it.

In person. I've never purchased from them online. Also, I only bought one flasher, no fairies. He only lasted about a week but he was small and kept getting chased.

I've got 2 Halichoeres wrasses from them that are doing good 2-3 years later still.
