Trying to arrange the sale of my company, working on my boat today, restoring a 1984 300ZX 50th AE Turbo only to discover the previous owner stuffed a non turbo engine in it. Working on repairing the work truck. And lookin for new owners for two of my motorcycles. Honestly, not much going on here hahaha!

Working on repairing the work truck. And lookin for new owners for two of my motorcycles. Honestly, not much going on here hahaha!

Good morning Lowell, a lot going on! My back began to hurt just reading it. The family across the street from where I grew up had that 300 zx in the 80’s, classic! I never had one but had an Infinity G35 coupe ( had a back seat, a must with young kids) with the 300ZX turbo in it! I loved that car but rear wheel drive was a little tough in the winter.

On this week’s podcast of Sunday cooking with Kev, I will be making a pasta dish that I thought was my wife’s. But when I made it she loved it asked where I got the recipe. I said I pieced it together from when she used to make it. She said she never made it. A dream? Hot peppers, tomatoes and some of the garlic are from the garden. First time trying the Hungarian hot peppers, we’ll see if they are mild medium or hot. My momma always told me that Hungarian hot peppers are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.

Alright, they are hot, perfect for me but not sure if it’s to much for my mother. I may have to whip up my wife’s lasagna recipe, stay tuned.

They started the demolition on our church last Monday. It was kind of sad going to Mass today and just seeing a pile of rubble where our church used to stand. It is wonderful though that we could repurpose our Community Center as a temporary church and we still have our original small church that is now a chapel. Fun fact, John Wayne would come to Mass in our old church whenever he was at his ranch in Stanfield which was basically whenever he was making a movie at the Tucson studios. He would sit up in the loft. If we had to lose one or the other I'm glad it was the church instead of the chapel. It is in the historical register and is wonderful old adobe construction, beautiful but miserable for IT work.

We are going to build a new one but it had to come down. The church was burned by an arsonist last October and it was determined that the structure was too damaged to repair. We have another tract of land about five miles north of the church but it was decided to rebuild on the original site. The other tract is for when a second church becomes necessary. We have a fairly large congregation with over 6,000 registered families and we have five weekend Masses, plus during the winter we have a very large 'snow bird' population.
