good morning peeps!
so I got my fuzzy chitons in the pool Tuesday around noon. they come on clam shells. Thursday night one of them "finally" crawled out of the shell and went ~6" on the rock. this morning, he's back in the shell 🙄

Good morning Paul! My fuzzy chitons were the same, took forever to leave the shell.

Sideshow Bob and Selma seem fine. No sighting of Flotsam or Jetsam but that’s pretty normal. Nems all closed, even the rock flowers. The bubbles have moved about on the rock, one going inside a large crevice. I think today when the salt gets here I’m going to pull about two gallons and replace with some fresh mixed to 1.023. Should bump it up just a hair. That shouldn’t be too much, in a 70 gallon system, right? In any case the sump is over full so I need to pull some out anyhow.

I would suggest raising it .001 a day with water changes or using high salinity water as your top off. Either way take it slow Bev. I believe someone mentioned yesterday that it is worse to increase salinity rapidly than to lower it rapidly.

Ok. I’ll have to figure out how much to mix for that. In the mean time, I hope these pull through. Should I flip the one over?

I don't know if this was mentioned before, if so, sorry, don't take water out of the sump, turn off the ATO and let the water evaporate, since you're not going to refill the RO water , the salt will remain and that will raise your salinity, just keep checking and when it reaches the desired value, turn the ATO back on or refill with new saltwater with the same value
