I like it. I'm not sure if I'd prefer it over Apex or GHL or anything else - my theory with a controller is program it and then leave it alone to tell me when things are or aren't working right.

Apex may be more difficult to set up, but if it's better after the programming is done, Apex would be my preference.

One thing with Hydros - it's so much easier to expand the System in my opinion.
I appreciate the feedback sir

Price point would definitely help me choose Hydros if I had to do it again.
Totally agree on that. Neptune products are overpriced when you compare their reliability to others.

One of the reasons I've been 'thinking about it' for twenty years or so is that as much as I like the idea I can't find a system that speaks to me. There was a system back then, I don't remember the name of it that had a lot of promise and semi-reasonable pricing, so naturally it went out of business.

Apex seems to have the most features and possibly the best programming but most of the hardware is cheap garbage at usurious prices, Hydros comes the closest to be what I want but the terminally delayed Maven has put a damper on it and it doesn't have the slick display of the Apex, Plus it seems most of their connectivity, outside of the collective, is via ESP32 or similar WiFi which is not the most robust. GHL seems to be very good but at German import prices. Some of the others out there like the Reef-Pi and Reefbot seem interesting.

I've actually discussed an Apex with my wife and I am seriously considering if for no other reason than I am terrible at testing with any regularity. That said I'm not crazy about the vendor lock-in with their Trident devices.

I agree on the GHL products! I've been looking at those as well

The bath wore us both out.

Rather, it was the other aussie. She became one with the floor and is extremely heavy. It took me 20 mins to wrestle her up into the tub lol.

Ole Rivvy Roo snoozing though.

@tbrown, you have a HYDROS Minnow on one of your systems don't you? Do you like it? I'm switching from my ATI Essentials 2-Part to AFR in a few days and I'm considering setting up dosing but until I have the AFR and do some testing, I have no idea how much I will be dosing. Anyway, one of the options I'm considering is the Minnow to dose the AFR and possibly be the first piece of a small collective.

I bought some Southern Pecan the other day. The other supervisor was sitting in my office and asked what was nee in the cabinet. I pulled that one down and decided to give it a try.

Not sure where the Southern or the Pecan were - all I could smell was Hazelnut and he said it tasted very much like Hazelnut.
We'd get in trouble down here for drinking Southern Pecan on the job.

I'm not a fan of the nutty flavored coffees and hazelnut is my least favorite. Don't tell @Fish Styx but the only coffee I like less than Hazelnut is Pumpkin Spice. Specifically Starbucks Pumpkin Spice.

With that said I do occasionally drink hazelnut coffee and even pumpkin spice coffee - after all, I'm not a picky person especially when it comes to coffee. I just tend to not enjoy them as readily as other flavors.
I just roused from my slumber (I had a napcident, don't you judge me) and am about to go treat myself to a PSL. I think I'll get a Venti instead of a Grande now...
