Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I appreciate that but nahhh, my tank has nothing extraordinary, easy corals, cheap lights and little automation, nobody wants to see that nowadays and it's understandable, a tank full of sps is much more attractive to see, not for me but many believe that a tank full of sps is the pinnacle of knowledge in the hobby and it's also understandable
So you're saying no one wants to see my tank...

Cheap corals, free lights, no automation?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend.
Your tank is lovely, as is all of ours on here.
In a league of our own, Luis, and don't you forget that.

Or mine?
Everything used including the tank, 5 gallon bucket water changes, no automation and only 2 fish and some softies?

I always want to see it, your tank is very unique and beautiful and I've always told you that, I know you say it as a joke lol, but if you look at YouTube, the videos of an SPS tank against an LFS tank, the SPS tanks always have more views and that has taken the hobby in that direction

I like seeing those things because it shows that you can have lots of beauty without having to have all the expensive stuff...

Never buddy, I love my tank

I set my tank up for me. If I had to copy these other large tanks with all the bells and whistles and high priced automation. I would not be in salt water. I put in my tank what makes me happy. Don't know about you but I take pride in keeping my copepod population up !

Good morning! And for those that didn't get the reference, it was both a baseball reference and I was calling Luis a League of Our Own!
Good morning Tim!

Same here, I'm not saying that it's bad to have expensive equipment and high-end corals, but sometimes a lot of difficulty and monetary expense separates people from the hobby, and I've seen that in recent times, when with cheap equipment you can also have a beautiful tank.

I like big fish that eat SPS, just sayin 😉

You’re looking at it very narrowly Luis, show me a tank with all sps and one with lps and softies and I’ll barely glance at the sps tank ( sorry stick heads) and I’ll dissect the lps and softy tank trying to identify every coral and determine which I absolutely need. So many of us have different ideas of what a great tank looks like which is great because if everyone had the same idea of what a beautiful tank looks like we would all have the exact same looking tanks. I’ve seen many Fowler predator tanks without a single coral that absolutely blew me away!

That should be a song Joel, just put the lyrics with the music “I like big butts, I can not lie. “

Thank you everyone! I’ll still check in with all of you and still do my daily stuff I’ve been doing (assuming I’m not too busy haha) you guys have been awesome
