Caught one small mouth, lost another one. Hooked two small stripers but they both spit the hook right at the boat.

Our stripers are 28-31” for take home. Might take the kids next week.

Hi everyone sorry been missing today busy day coming home then to church then to drop my deer off to have it processed then to get groceries then home to unload hunting stuff and groceries, then take care of all my animals. Spent a little while with my father in law telling him about our hunting trip since he didn't go with us this time and showed him the antlers from the buck I shot them it was time to go back to church. Tonight was the start of revival at church so I might not be on much the rest of this week but I will check in as much as possible.

What do you do with all the antlers?

What do you do with all the antlers?

We put them on a board and hang them on the wall over my Pea puffer aquarium. I have only shot 6 bucks but I also only started deer hunting in 2019.

Here's 4 of them I need to get another board for the one from last season and today's. They are mounted in the order i shot them.

I think my wife and I are the only nut jobs that make dog food on this thread. Our dog vomited in our bed last night and a bay leaf was in it. My wife added 2-3 bay leaves to his food while cooking it last night. She googled it and apparently bay leaves are toxic to dogs. Just a heads up.

To humans as well Kev been guilty of forgetting to take them out many times I'm afraid.
One of my favorite things to use in cooking.

but then again, turkey is a problem for most too. The most important ever make it boiled bland chicken, shredded with rice if there's a stomach issue. but my puppy''s have had sensitive tummy's and don't get much treats.

Neither of my dogs can eat turkey.

The small mouth I caught was maybe 8". My brother-in-law caught a 10".

Our stripers are anywhere from 15"+ for "keeper" size. They're invasive down here so they want us to keep or kill all that we catch but we usually catch and release.

Tim, my favorite fish to catch is smallmouth. I’ll be fishing for large mouth bass and hook a two pound small mouth bass and think I have a 4 pound large mouth bass on the other end.
