If I admit to you that you're not far off by thinking of the scene, in that movie you mentioned, then it might paint me in a bad picture. So, no, that's definitely not how I do it!
In reality, where I hate to live, I have not ever slept well. Going all the way back to when I was a yoot. There are a number of reasons for this and none of them are good. Therefore, I'll not get into those now.
I have had multiple sleep studies done and been told, "We're not exactly sure what is going on or why you have the trouble you have with sleeping. We also do not know how you are able to function normally, on a regular, daily basis." A couple of the sleep studies were done for "research."
I have been on every sleep aid known to man. You name it and I have used it. The only thing that helped me was a drug used for schizophrenia and it only became effective at an elevated level. I had to stop using it as it resulted in me sleep-walking and sleep-eating. Long stories associated with both of these things. Every once in a while, my system tells me that it needs rest. When I was younger, I could simply push through this when it happened. As I have gotten a little older, and a
little wiser, I have learned it is in my best interest to heed the need and get the rest being requested. Anyways, probably more than I should have shared but there it is.
