Went back to the lifereef vs3-24 today.
I turned the pump down as far as I could go, just enough to open the venturi.
This model takes at least 900gph to open it.
It's not quiet but it's okay noise wise, definitely better than it was before.
The octopus was fine but even that little pump was bothering me.
This really is a fantastic skimmer although really too large for most applications.

Good afternoon everyone! I got to say the Hydros stuff is just so cool. I got a bunch of nearly brand new Hydros gear Control X4 & XP8 an ATO, Probes, Doser, etc for $400 & an MP10 too and man it is awesome! I havent even set up the MP 10 but being able to turn off my wavemaker pumps skimmer all at once to feed my fish is so awesome. Also I have fuge lights, extra temperature protections for my heater & inkbird controller and it is truly amazing! I plan to also do an Auto water change system with it so we will see how that goes lol. All I can say is if you are on the fence with controller stuff definitely it is worth it lol. I finally can see the changing PH too on a graph lol

(now all they need to do is release the Maven lol)

I guess, as I get older, all the noise is really bothering me.
All the years in the kitchen I literally feel like I'm vibrating on my drive home.
The freshwater tank has a fluval 406 which is about 8 years old now and starting to hum a bit....

That sounds excellent Thomas!
Good deal.
I have no idea what all that stuff is but keep us updated with pictures and how it's all going!

Are you trying to say your 406 has rhythm.

Im new so I'm sticking with simple stuff . I got my second Mushroom and 8 more Zoas:) Im really liking these Zoa's so many colors
To me there's almost nothing with more color than a zoa and mushroom tank. Hope to see some pics!

It’s really cool. I can essentially turn off my skimmer, return pump, wave makers all off for 15 minutes while I feed my fish with a press of a button and it will automatically turn back on after the timer. If my PH or temperature gets too high or too low I will get a text. Also I can watch it changing. My fuge light automatically turns on and off and will auto turn off if it runs too hot. I will also be able to do automatic water changes (with a couple other pieces here soon). Also I can do it all on my phone from anywhere with WiFi lol. It’s something alright. It’s also really user friendly compared to Neptune I hear.
