Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Could be, but the only way algae can grow on it is if there is no living tissue. My gonis get between 275-300 PAR and are thriving. I know what many say... but... they can and do acclimate quite well. They also get flow to where their polyps are moving vigorously.
Wrong reply?

Side note, I'm really not sure what those pics are to the right of Grinch. I am honestly afraid to ask nor am I going to zoom in.
It will never be unseen! Let that burn into your brain forever.

Maybe, probably... most likely yes... I was answering what I thought was a goni question... my apologies sir. It won't happen again.

By the way, are you feeling better brother?

Good morning Joel, take the day to recover and for the love of god stay out of the Kitchen!
he can't take the day off. his boss would fire him! didn't you report him to his boss when he called in sick and he really went boating?

Mostly feeling better as the meds start kicking it to the curb, yes.

Mine wasn't a Goni question so much as a Scoly statement.

Morning John, love the pictures from last night! You have more facial hair than in the video the day you went down to the docks to get shrimp.
Tom Hanks Hello GIF
Haha I wanted to be presentable to get a good deal. Morning Kevin

I have the same Hygger, silent and easy to program, love it. For the price you can’t beat it.
I couldn't agree more. The only reason I have the Nero 3 is because it was a gift

You pitched three of your gonis brother?
Yeah Rock, I cant figure out what the deal is with them. Ive started with smaller frags, that may be the problem. Also, I didnt have a great place for them at the time, and they got kicked around a bit.

I’ve tried goni’s and like some of the people here have not been successful . I did have one last about a year but that was it . Can anyone share there mystery to there success ?
Manganese

It looks you two had a great time!!
We did brother! I cant get enough of seeing joy and wonder in my kids' eyes. This is one of.our yearly traditions.

I have a nero 3 on random. (About 1300gph) and a hygger 2600gh on the opposite side that are only slightly offset from each other. Theyre both on random all day and night. Here's where I placed them.

Remind me what size tank you have? Mine is a 40 cube which was not easy to flow.

Thanks again for all the help! I am sure once its dialed in I will kind of know it better lol. Just new to Acros.

My tank size is a IM 25 gallon lagoon. It looks like the width of your tank is 21.7"(L) and mine is 23.6"L (even though it is longer its less tank volume its only 12 inches tall).

Is your Hygger 2600gh on max power. I know you said random but I am not familiar with them so I am not sure if it goes from from 0 to 100 or if they have like a random 5/10 that keeps it similar to the 1300 GPH on the Nero so ~ 2600 total for your tank. If you know what setting you have selected I can probably research to find an approximate GPH. Just not sure if one side is ~1300 and the other side is 2600gph as that would be much higher than mine.

The anti sync is nice because it means they are not both on all the time so it makes the coral flow back and forth like they are doing the wave lol. As there is some overlap when both are on but then a second or two where one side is on and the other is not.

I think Rock answered with what gives him success a little bit ago.

Where are you putting your Scoly though?
