Alright, been slacking on the daily quotes, so I'm bringing it back today!

Alright, so flip on the news, what do you see? Probably a lot of sad news and devastation is going on in the world. Some will say the world is in a terrible place, and they would be right. Amidst all the destruction going on in the world, there is the good that is in it. Look at some of the destructive news associated with war. Sure, you see countries being torn apart by death and destruction, but you also see people coming together as one. You see families bonding together, and communities coming together to try to bring peace in times of evil. What are you going to do this week? Are you going to let the weight of the world weigh you down this week, or are you going to embrace the challenges and make a difference around you.

We have been doing that with River too! Both Alycia and I are very anti-tablet and phones when it comes to him. I think you see a shift in kids who are on iPads and phones all day vs those who don't use that stuff at all. If we survived as kids without that junk, he can as well.

I remember they do this at a playground in England. you drop your 8 year old off with a box of matches and let them get it out of their system early. a junkyard the kids can do whatever they want.

22 degrees here. They are calling for us to get 8-10 inches of snow this weekend. We are preparing for it by getting sleds and snow clothing for us and River!

Send us half your snow down here Bailey! That'll give us each a more manageable amount lol

We are preparing by making sure the generator has gas and fireplace that we only use when power goes out has propane as well as the Blackstone so if need be we have a way to cook. Also making sure I have extra batteries for my battery air pumps. We rarely lose power for long but we like to be prepared.

I bought a Bluetti so I don't have to run the gas generator overnight for the aquarium. but I'm really lazy and still haven't tried it out. either of the 2 Bluettti's. last time I had to set an alarm to wake me up to go check that the generator still had gas 1/2 way through the night. Do you have well? we lose power and we have city water incoming but need to run a 4200watt pump to return it. so stupid. 4200 watts to run a sewage grinder.

Ours can power a lot but we don't want to run it nonstop its loud and used a lot of gas. I can at least make coffee and rum the aquariums for about 30 minutes every other hour or so.

Not my thread, John, but the rules have been in place for a while. The topic of global warming leads to other discussions, and Joel's thread shouldn't be ruined, nor should the mods or Rev have to come and delete comments, as has already happened in the past. I wouldn't want to have to do this, nor would I want people to think I'm hateful, we can talk about these things, but not here.
