I haven’t stopped thinking about since yesterday and I hate to to poke the hornets nest but as much I’ve to restrain I need to get this off my chest. First off you all are often the highlight of my day and you all are important to me. I can’t help but feel a void here without Luis. I’ve been on this thread since the beginning and Luis began shortly after. He is kind, intelligent person willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat. Before a lot of you were on here we had two incidents where politics were brought up and the two people that were offended politely asked to refrain from it. Since we have really tried to not make others feel uncomfortable, they are still active here, because apparently some states are different colors. I have strong political beliefs but that doesn’t define me and is just a small part of me, I’m a father, husband, Christian, son, brother, uncle, chiropractor, friend, neighbor and an all around jerk. Luis was absolutely right, climate change directly went to politics which led to writing this which I never had to do in the years I’ve been here. I encourage those who feel the void, encourage Luis back or Ive got some thunking to do. Funny It didn’t make me feel any better.

I too miss Luis.
I'm not on as much as I'd like to be, now with my old man schedule and all but I honestly thought the whole thing was a giant misunderstanding.
I can easily see how a couple comments could go either way but I just dismissed them as funny jabs, nothing political.
But I'm very naive and just trust everyone is always doing the right thing.
I also see everyone's point of view and, as you all know me, I'm the last person to tell anyone what's right or wrong.
I love all of you like family and I'm sorry for whatever feelings were damaged, here but hope bygones can be bygones, Luis returns with some Heineken and we can talk, share and love each other as we always have.

What brand of furnace? What model? I do hope you are getting a high-efficiency model.

they still need to send all that. I know it's an upgrade but that's it. for whatever reason the heat exchanger got dunked up inside and not draining the condensate down and out to the pump. (which is working since I've checked) said a heat exchanger is already several thousands but life expectancy of these units is only like 15 years. so rather than get another bill for the rest of the unit down the road, just do the whole thing. so that's the plan.

Have you thought about maybe mini-splits instead? We replaced our heat pump with them and they do so much better and are more energy efficient than our heat pump was. To replace our heat pump it was going to be about $15,000 and I think we got mini-splits for each of the 5 rooms for less than $10,000.
